If you're looking for location based films, then maybe show:
The Faculty, in a school
Scream, in cul-de-sac/street
Attack the Block, on an estate
28 days later, in a lab environment
12 Angry men, in a court room/setting
Back to the Future, in a car park
Happy Gilmore/Caddy shack, on a golf course
The Italian Job (original), in an Italian restaurant
These are just random ideas that popped into my head and was thinking that you can add the experience with extras dressed up as characters from the films

Great ideas! back to the future would be a great outdoor screening.
12 angry men is one of my favourite films and will definately be at the festival!

We have discussed a film club, rather than festival, a few times and an outdoor location seemed like a great idea.
A huge screen hung on trees in a park with a rear projector would be a fantastic way to see some huge blockbusters or some horror films.
