Just read it, and I'm looking forward to it even more than I was already.
Sounds like they have managed to update the aged bits of Tomb Raider but still keep the best bits working.

Damn you, I wasn't expecting this to be that good, it's just jumped to the top of my next purchase list, looks like Hitman will have to wait!

I know! Sigh! Better update my backlog! Still, there are worse problems to have. :-)

Always wanted to go freeform with Lara. Just knocking her into walls and her saying "No." was never enough. I want to watch her skin a weasel. See if she can do it as good as I. I use borax to salt the skin and then dry it out for about a month before remounting. Took the eyes out of a small teddy bear from charity shop to give it that realistic effect...
Sorry, distracted. This review never mentions her arse. I am smoking one of those e-cigarettes which gives me about 100 times the nicotine from 10 normal straights. This new Lara gives every denim-clad Games Workshop employee what I/they want, a shy, uncertain coquette. YAY! , The reviewer complains that she loses her inhibitions too quickly. Next he will complain that square triangle A and B doesn't reduce her to birthday suit. I have to say though, this looks very promising, Indeed a brilliant turn of events. I could empathise with a character trying to light a fire in a dense forest as I had to do it dressed as a Dark Elf in the Lake District with the rain pissing down. We had real weapons in those days, none of that Larp shit. Most of the guys I was with had been smoking wacky and were useless when it came to a real fight. I threw a firework at a guy pretending to be a fire elemental and his resistance to fire was lamentable. I got off with a girl dressed as an undead who told me that no-one had ever bought her a drink. Should have read the signs. Anyway Elmo, this looks superb; thanks for bringing it to attention.

I still can't believe that this became a sex symbol:

I always thought her lips looked like a coffee bean.

Well it did take awhile for her to get actual curves in the game.

But it was the promotional material that made her a sex symbol.

The scary thing is, Sly, that's the "cover of The Face" shot that apparently propelled her from games to wider culture.

Everyone loves a psychopath then.

Is this the only game to generate a pronographic parody? If so, suggestions.
I've stopped smoking the electronic cigarettes by the way, they were charging too me much.

Got it and started playing last night.
Played past "that scene" and up to leaving for the radio tower.
Does she ever get any medical attention for the hole in her side where the rebar went through? :-)
It's looking very good so far, although the re-spawning wolves get a bit tiresome in places.
One thing I noticed in the intro FMV, when she's almost drowning on the ship and someone pulls her through the hatch, where do they go? One second she's pulled out, next she's alone at the other side of a huge break in the ship.
Is this a cutting issue? Or does she have to time travel back and pull herself out? :-)

Imagine if she did do time travel and saw her badly rendered face from the original. If that happened to me, I would think it was Kryton coming to kill me. Any weasels yet MainMan?

She kills him with her pick, because she's mental.

I have to admit that, having been involved in a couple of books about the early games, I couldn't bear to play through another TR... but Elmo's enthusiasm has reignited a flame that last burned brightly in me in 1998. I may have to blag a copy... buy a copy.
